Health Funds

We’re participating providers with major health funds like HBF, Bupa, HCF, Medibank and CBHS, which means we’ve negotiated to accept a set fee with each of the Health Funds. As a result, our patients pay a smaller ‘gap’ fee, so ultimately, it’s saving you money.

***Please note that not all surgeries are ‘participating providers’ of Medibank and Bupa.

Veterans' affairs

We are privileged to support our Veterans and provide quality and affordable dentistry services to Department of Veterans' Affairs card holders.

DVA will fund all dental services, provided under DVA arrangements, necessary to meet a clinical need for Gold Card holders. For White Card holders, dental treatment can only be provided in relation to your accepted disabilities.

To find out more please visit the Department of Veterans Affairs website or call 1800 555 254 , or make an appointment with us.

Government Subsidies

Country Patients Dental Subsidy Scheme

All of our 3 practices are participating providers of the above scheme.

You need to bring along your letter from the Health Service Dept. and General Treatment Authority Form when you attend your appointment.

Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) commenced on 1 January 2014 and provides access to benefits for basic dental services to children aged 2-17 years.

The total benefit entitlement is capped at $1,000 per child over a two calendar year period. The CDBS has a means test, which requires receipt of Family Tax Benefit Part A (FTB-A) or a relevant Australian Government payment.

The CDBS provides individual benefits for a range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions. Benefits are not available for orthodontic or cosmetic dental work and cannot be paid for any services provided in a hospital.

Further information for families on the CDBS is available from the Department of Health Services .

Infection control policy

We take the safety of our patients and staff very seriously at FADC Dental Group, so we operate a strict infection control policy at all times. All reusable items are ultrasonically disinfected and sterilised by ‘steam’ autoclaves. We also have state-of-the-art instrument tracking software so we can track all our surgical instruments when used in invasive procedures.

FADC Dental Group is also one of the very few practices in Australia which uses Ozone-treated water to disinfect our water lines in our dental chair. This means we always have the cleanest water for use in all of our dental procedures. This technology has been implemented in Westmead Dental Hospital in Sydney and at the University of Queensland’s Dental School.

Radiation safety

X-rays are a necessary part of almost every aspect of dentistry and at FADC Dental Group, we’ve invested in digital X-rays for our patients’ added safety. Digital X-rays emit much less radiation, as well as offer more detailed images for our dentists, so are great from every perspective. We also no longer have to dispose of hazardous radiographic chemicals, so it’s also much better for the environment.

We’ll only ever take X-rays after a thorough examination of your teeth and gums and only if we think it’s necessary, as we understand patients can be concerned about having too many taken.

At FADC Dental Group, we expect payment on the day and we accept cash, credit cards (Visa and MasterCard) as well as cheques. For your added convenience, we also have EFTPOS facilities and HICAPS, so we can make insurance claims on the spot. This means you don’t have to send your claim through the mail or visit your insurance company in person and will only have to pay the ‘gap’ fee.

NB If payment is not received, then a 25% administration fee will be added onto the bill.

Any costs or legal fees incurred in the collection of outstanding accounts are the responsibility of the account payer. To change or cancel an appointment, you must give us 24 hours’ notice and missed appointments may incur a fee of up to $150.00, depending on the length of appointment/s.

If a patient is under 18 years’ old, then a parent or guardian must sign to indicate consent to treatment.

Payment plans

To facilitate our patients in paying for their dental treatment, we’re registered with GE Care Credit, so if you need to budget payments, then this is the solution. If you qualify, you can have access to a 12-month interest-free period to work your payments into your budget. Just talk to our friendly team today for more information about this excellent service.
